Project Information
Paranormal is an electronic music label founded by the French artist Notre Dame, dedicated to merging music and art to create a fantastical universe. The label’s mission is to transport audiences into a parallel realm through immersive sound and visual storytelling.

Deeply inspired by manga, anime, and the philosophical belief that parallel worlds exist, Notre Dame envisions a space where humans possess paranormal attributes and extraordinary abilities. During the workshop, we collaborated closely to define how this vision could be translated into a clear and compelling identity for Paranormal.

The wordmark and symbol showcase an abstract wormhole with two entries, representing gates to parallel dimensions. This strong symbol became the smallest unit of the design system and functions seamlessly across all channels of communication, from digital platforms to large-scale live stages.

Inspired by anime magazine layouts, the cover artworks are built on an editorial grid system, creating the feeling of browsing through pages and reading a story. Each music release is paired with unique visual artwork, drawing the audience into an imaginative narrative where every note and brushstroke plays a role. To strengthen the connection with the creative community, innovative artists and illustrators are invited to become part of the Paranormal universe.

In addition to hosting its own label parties, Paranormal expands beyond the boundaries of music through art exhibitions that activate the label in new ways and create an immersive, multisensory experience. These events showcase how music and art coexist seamlessly, offering deeper insights into artworks, music videos, and collectible objects that further expand the Paranormal universe.
